My Marketing Journey

I am a recent graduate of the Technological University of the Shannon, where I completed a Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Marketing and Management in Limerick, Ireland. The year prior, I also graduated from Conestoga College’s three-year Business Administration – Marketing (Honours) program.

During my third year at Conestoga, I was selected to represent the school at the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition, where my partner and I earned 2nd place and had the opportunity to pitch our marketing ideas to the Toronto Blue Jays’ marketing team.

Marketing is especially fulfilling to me because I believe that every product or service I help promote has the potential to make someone's everyday life easier or more enjoyable — and, in doing so, bring them happiness. I take great pride in my work and always bring genuine passion and heart to everything I do.

Lunar Networks Company logo

Lunar Networks was a game hosting service I founded at the age of 19. Over its lifespan, I grew the platform to host more than 15,000 unique players and a revenue of $70,000. I also assembled and led a team of eight developers from around the world, managing collaboration across multiple time zones.

Running Lunar Networks demanded all of my time and energy, ultimately leading me to withdraw from college temporarily to fully dedicate myself to the business. Although I made the difficult decision to shut it down the following year in order to prioritize my education, Lunar Networks remains one of my proudest accomplishments. It’s a business I built from the ground up, and one I continue to speak about with pride.

College Project Mockups

During my time at Conestoga College, every Thursday afternoon our professor would assign us a company and a marketing challenge. We were given three hours to develop a complete marketing proposal. Each proposal had to include a researched budget, an analysis of the reach and effectiveness of all chosen advertising methods (e.g., CTR), a SWOT analysis, a clear call to action, and creative assets tailored to each advertising channel. We also had to prepare a full 15-minute pitch presentation, followed by a challenging Q&A session.

Below are some examples of the creative work we produced in preparation for these presentations.

Hummingbird Centre For Hope

The Hummingbird Centre for Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping both newly bereaved and long-term widows reintegrate into society during their grieving process. As part of our final-year project at Conestoga College, I worked alongside four classmates in collaboration with the Centre.

Our project involved three key objectives:

  1. Identifying new ways to support grieving widows.

  2. Evaluating how effectively the Centre supports widows further along in their healing journey.

  3. Recommending strategies to better reach newly bereaved widows.

To gather meaningful data, our team conducted surveys, interviews, focus groups, and a comprehensive industry analysis, including research on comparable organizations.

Below is a brochure my team and I designed to be distributed to newly grieving widows, providing essential information about the Centre. In addition to the brochure, we developed and presented several other strategic recommendations and solutions to help improve the Centre’s outreach and impact.

Living In ireland

After completing my third and final year at Conestoga College, I still had a strong desire to earn my Bachelor’s degree. Staying in Canada would have been the easy and comfortable choice, I could have lived at home and stayed within a familiar environment. However, I wanted to challenge myself and gain a new perspective, so I made the decision to move to Ireland for nine months to complete my degree.

Studying in Ireland turned out to be one of the best decisions and most rewarding experiences of my life. It pushed me far outside of my comfort zone, forced me to face new challenges independently, and ultimately helped me rediscover myself.

During my time abroad, I took every opportunity to explore the country and embrace new experiences, whether I thought I would enjoy them or not. Below are some of my favorite photos that I captured throughout my journey.

I started riding dirt bikes at the age of 3, beginning with a 50cc Honda equipped with training wheels, as I was already able to balance at that young age. Around the age of 9, I began my racing career and have competed almost every year since—except for the past year, as I was living in Europe.

Over the years, I reached the top of the Youth Enduro class in Canada. While a few injuries temporarily set me back, I’ve continued to enjoy the sport. Although I’ve taken a step back from full-time racing, I still love getting out on the track whenever I have the opportunity.

Through my father, I also got involved in side-by-side racing, acting as his navigator in the grueling 24-hour endurance races we attend annually, proudly sponsored by Red Bull.

Outside of off-road racing, I enjoy spending my downtime playing video games and mountain biking.
